FIC SUMMARY: Max was still figuring out this whole "living in a town that's occasionally overrun by monsters" thing. Honestly, though, that might be easier to wrap her mind around than winter in the Midwest.
RECCER'S NOTES: So I am currently huddled under a blanket, watching winter rain pour down the windows, which means my mood for wintery/cosy/comforting fic might be a little more intense than yours, but this is soooo good.
Max and the kids go sledding, and there are tentative truces and friendships extended, the fear of what happened over the summer still lurking beneath the surface, but warm cookies and cocoa and found family feelings. A short read, but a very satisfying one ♥

Gen is pretty much all I ever read, would it be okay if I just made rec posts here too? I have so many awesome finds from different fandoms in my ao3 bookmarks. I promise to read all the rules first to see how to post and how often you can do that. :)
