MAIN CHARACTERS: Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews
FIC SUMMARY: Danny’s video drops in the middle of round one, the day after they beat the Preds in the third fucking OT. Pat didn’t have any idea it was coming, but he thinks Jonny did.
RECCER'S NOTES:
Hockey RPF fandom is pairing dominated. This is a few of the gen stories, and it's lovely, despite the heavy subject matter. There are a few stories which take the realities of pro sports into account. It can be a dangerous job, in more ways than one, and I love how the story deals with it.
But the story shows us also Patrick and Jonny's frienship. I love their interaction and how they talk and not-talk with each other.
Even if you're not into sports fandom you might want to give this story a chance.
