RECCER'S NOTES:

One of the best character-study fics I have ever read, ever ever. The author absolutely nails the complexities of Regina's character, and brings all of her darkness and cruelty into the light, while acknowledging exactly how layered she is. This is from Regina's point of view, and her voice is perfect. Her observations of the characters around her - in particular, Emma - are spot on. Her snark, her banter, her fear... everything is wonderful.
And I am really, really enjoying part two, which is from Emma's POV and just as amazing.
