RECCER'S NOTES: I love so many things about this fic. It feels real, both in the sense that it seems like a conversation these two women could actually have in later years, and in the sense that the author uses turns of phrase that pleasantly echo Blyton's style. (Like… can we have fanfic writers redo those terrible published sequels? Please?).
Anyway, it's fic like this that makes me so happy that Enid Blyton fanfic exists <3 Both girls have grown in maturity and wisdom since their school days, and their conversation feels so natural and right. There are a lot of little touches throughout that really makes it feel like part of the series and, gah, I just love it.
