I love fics about Donna's life after the Doctor, and this fic shows her rebuilding herself slowly, discovering a knack for things she's not sure she should know, like a hidden talent for foreign languages. It's got a really nice pace to it and I like that her solo travels are what set the foundation for rediscovering the travels she had with Ten.
