This is such a fun, clever fic! Bond travels back in time and gets caught up in some shenanigans with Rick, Evy and Ardeth. I absolutely love his relationship with Ardeth here, and their mutual respect for one another.

FIC SUMMARY: In her dreams, there was an angel, like in legends from Earth-that-Was, with blonde hair and a kind smile, and River knew that this angel meant her well; that she was here to protect her; that she was River’s sister.

RECCER'S NOTES: The entire idea of this story is such a fantastic way to make this crossover work - there are some brilliant reveals that I'm not going to spoil. It's a relatively dark fic (it deals with River's past abuse and current trauma) but ultimately it's full of hope. I love how elements from both canons and all the characters ring 100% true, which means that it can go from poignant to humorous and back again, often in the same paragraph, just like the source material does. Other than the central, touching relationship between Buffy and River, my favorite part of this story are quips between Buffy and Mal.

RECCER'S NOTES: I received this gift for Every Woman 2017 and was blown away by it. It's a lovely fic set after the Accident in the Narnia world, and just before Frodo reaches the Fords of Bruinen in LOTR movieverse. Given the timing in the respective canons, it's surprisingly hopeful - Susan on a horse again, with a bow! - and the writing is lyrical and moving.

RECCER'S NOTES: This was just delightful, it had me smiling so much. Love Daniel's view on the wizards, and of course the Librarian is awesome as always.
This is like a light-hearted pick-me-up.

RECCER'S NOTES: Very well-written, short, very unsettling. Will stay in your head for much longer than it takes you to read either it or this rec, so get to it. A truly excellent crossover.

Does not require knowledge of both fandoms, but for Sherlock fans: Malcolm Tucker is terrifying Glaswegian press officer for Number 10. TTOI fans: Mycroft Holmes "occupies a minor position in the British Government". (This is a lie.) Magnussen is a blackmailing media mogul.

RECCER'S NOTES: A fic that perfectly encapsulates the comedy chaos of old kid’s TV show 'Rentaghost'. Mr Meaker wants to know what new money making idea the spooks have come up with and Mr Claypole’s is one where small monsters are kept in balls. Naturally, they escape and cause havoc. Everything you remember is squeezed into the fic including the Meaker’s neighbours and, of course, don’t go into the cellar!

There are a few formatting issues, but as the author explains at the end it was written as a last minute pinch hit while dealing with real life dodgy plumbing. A fitting situation in which to write 'Rentaghost' really!

RECCER'S NOTES: Huge fun. Vila slots right into the everyday happening in Asterix’s corner of Gaul. Magic potion is drunk and the Romans are bopped. Dogmatix is adorably doggy, Avon makes a great “genie” and the suggestions for Vila and Avon’s Roman names are fab.
