One of Richard's sisters has overheard their mother talking about her plans for Richard's future ... plans that do not please him at all. But Richard has some secrets of his own, and finds an ally in his father.

RECCER'S NOTES: This was a Yuletide gift for me, but it's still a lovely tale of family love for a young Richard III. The seeds are sown for the future, but overall it can't get rid of the warm glow this fic creates.

RECCER'S NOTES: Raises the gooseflesh on a sunny afternoon. Richard III tells the story of The Wars of the Roses as if the events were shaped by the calling of monsters from who knows where. The Cthulhu Mythos perfectly fits into the first tetralogy. I also relished reading Henry transformed into a not so sweet character.

RECCER'S NOTES: Three Richards, three different musings. One taps into one of the most memorable scenes of Henry VI Part Three as York considers his sons. Cambridge thinks on Henry IV and Henry V. Richard III has no children and he ponders the problems of child kings. A really excellent fic that bears re-readings. It simultaneously extends and draws in the repeated theme of fathers and sons.

FIC SUMMARY: Tybalt has a secret.

RECCER'S NOTES: This is a perfect example of the 'crack premise taken straight' micro-genre. Tybalt, 'Prince of Cats', inexplicably finds he can't die. His evolving reactions to his situation feel very believable, from questioning the philosophical implications to finding a reason to wish to continue living. Russian Blue uses his series of 'deaths' to paint a vivid picture of Verona before and during the play. Though the premise is dark, there's a ray of hope for him at the end that the play doesn't offer.
