RECCER'S NOTES: Please don't let the summary and the warnings deter you. It's much better than I expected.
While Dolores begins as despicable as we know her in the books, she learns to grow here in this story. I love her character development. While she starts out with manipulating Harry, she develops so much that I was surprised.
It's not always an easy story to read, but I was always eagerly anticipating another chapter.

Jack didn't know the chair he was sitting in - in the infirmary after a mission gone bust again - had to be the hardest and most painful they had, or why the book he had to balance on one knee had to be one of the oldest, biggest, thickest and - ouch - heaviest in the SGC's considerable collection, but apparently they both did. So he winced, shifted a little in an attempt to ease the weight, and fixed that smile on his face, the one he used all over the galaxy for 'friendly and harmless', and carefully settled a soft warm and disconcertingly tiny body in his lap.

RECCER'S NOTES: This is sweet and moving. I love Jack's pov here, he really sounded like himself.

First things first: I bookmarked this fic years ago and it seems to have disappeared everywhere but this archived page. If the above link doesn't work, try here, and click the little drop down menu to go from "notes" to "first chapter". Because it's worth it. IT'S SO HORRIBLY, HORRIBLY WORTH IT.
This fic builds Azkaban from a vague nightmare (part of what makes it so terrifying is that we know so little) into something fully-realised and utterly terrible. It focuses on several prisoners of Azkaban, including Sirius, and what haunts them and taunts them as they sit trapped within its walls. I've never forgotten it since first reading it. Truly a haunting fic.

This such a nice moment between Hermione and Luna. I really like Hermione's pov, and how she sees Luna. Luna is so awesome here, a little eccentric but still down-to-earth. She isn't nearly as flighty as some author make her out to be.

This story stands perfectly well on its own, but I really love to read more about the two of them.

This is a wonderful character study of Poppy Pomphrey. I love the setting during the seventh book, love her friendships, and she is such an amazing character.

FIC SUMMARY: Director Blackadder of SHIELD had a dream. A dream of getting other people to do all the hard work saving the world while reaping the benefits of a huge pay check at the end of the day.

RECCER'S NOTES: A lot of multi-crossovers tend to be overwhelmed by trying to fit a multitude of characters in to a fic, but netla pulls it off with aplomb or even a turnip. This fic is a very funny version of ‘The Avengers Assemble’ movie but reworked with British super-heros, um, well, shall we say British characters for the sake of accuracy. Not only are the characters swapped but the locations are very British too. Marvel’s SHIELD has a swish HQ, while the London HQ has plastic Ikea chairs and our heroes go searching for Loki on a council estate. Perhaps not for people who can’t take the majority of the humour coming out of taking the Michael out of their faves. And with Malcolm Tucker involved there is some sweary-sweariness.
