FIC SUMMARY: Fraser found his mouth strangely locked. He should offer to go with Ray. But Fraser didn't want to—God, he did not want this, did not want to have to watch Ray go through even a part of this.

RECCER'S NOTES:

This is a story that transforms something that can happen to all of us – the illness of a family member – into a wonderful and intimate story.

For all those serious issues it doesn't get over-bearing or soppy, and RayK and Fraser are beautifully in character. Whether you actually ship them or not, this story shows their friendship wonderfully. This is a story that I will carry with me.

There were ways in which everyone around him behaved, and he did not behave in those ways. - Childhood stories and adult friendship.

RECCER'S NOTES:

Beautifully woven together. Both Fraser and McKay seemed so real to me, and I loved their interaction. Love the building of their friendship, and how they relate to each other as adults.

RECCER'S NOTES: This is a wonderful look at Ray and the way he sees being a cop.
This story balances the whimsy of due South with gritty realism.
