FIC SUMMARY: 1949. Viscount St George died in 1940. Dorothea, his wife for 1 month and widow for 9 years, is soon to remarry. Jerry has visited his cousin, Bredon Wimsey, to speak to him about the matter, and has now decided to visit his father, Gerald Wimsey before giving up his ghostly form for (he hopes) good.

RECCER'S NOTES: Brief and understated ghost story; a poignant evocation of loss, of grief and of how hard it can be to say what's most needing to be said.

FIC SUMMARY: [Vignette sequel to Green Ice]

RECCER'S NOTES: Wimsey and Jeeves & Wooster are both set among the upper classes during the interwar years, but the Wimsey world is shaped by the First World War, while J&W's world notoriously ignores it. In crossing over the universes, Adina comes up with an ingenious solution for this absence that doesn't negate Wodehouse's choice. To say more would be to spoil it.

This vignette stands independently but is in the same universe as her better-known 'Green Ice'.
