This is wonderful. It's almost poetic in the way the story is told - it perfectly captures the enchantment and magic of the canon. A story reflecting the magic and beauty of the sea and a pirate's life in Jack Sparrow's world.

I have no idea how these fandoms can be blended so well, but the thought of a teenage Jack Sparrow kicking around Hogwarts, getting into trouble and spinning tall tales of his worldy travels just amuses me no end. This is really, really fun, and Jack's voice is fantastic.

FIC SUMMARY: He dreams of cannonfire and cursed treasure, of tangled hair and a gold-studded smile, but most frequently he dreams of the day he ordered that Will Turner be detained, and of the sailor's bright-feathered bird that cursed on high when Jack Sparrow did the gallows dance.

RECCER'S NOTES:

An alternate timeline in which Jack did not escape at the end of the first movie - and his spirit lingers to haunt Norrington. This is a really bittersweet fic, almost unsettling to read at certain points, but beautiful as well.
